Activities are an important part of daily living within our home and at Broomy Hill Nursing Home we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic team player to join as our Activities Coordinator to support our residents live life to the fullest.
This is a varied role where you can make a real difference. As Activities Coordinator you will get to know each of our residents, and families, to gain a full understanding of their interests, likes and dislikes, values, and preferences, You will deliver a programme of stimulating events and activities that not only promote physical but also mental and social wellbeing.
You will also be involved in organising other events such as Christmas parties, Easter raffles, summer fares and bonfire parties.
With your infectious enthusiasm, you will get others involved too. Whether it’s motivating colleagues to support each event, making links in the local area, or even getting visiting friends and family involved, you’ll pack a lot of community spirit into everything you do.
You will need to be warm, caring, and personable with good communicating skills and the ability to work under pressure with people from different backgrounds.
Experience working with older people in a residential setting would be beneficial but is not essential as we will provide you with all the training and support you’ll need to do the job. However, what is important is that you have plenty of creativity and positivity, as well as a practical mind to maintain the paperwork that goes along with your brilliant events.
We have two positions available one for full time and one part-time. Negotiations on days and hours for the right candidate will be happily accepted.
You must be vaccinated against COVID-19. PPE will be provided.
