Launch of New Day Care Service
We are delighted to announce the launch of our new Day Care Service at Broomy Hill Nursing Home. Our aim is to provide older individuals with an enriching and supportive environment that enables them to maintain their independence and continue living at home.
We understand the importance of regular social contact and involvement in community life, as well as reducing physical and emotional stress for both our residents and their caregivers.
Our compassionate and well-trained staff prioritise treating everyone with dignity and respect, and they are always available to address any concerns or issues you may have.
The Day Centre is managed by Amy Clay, who says, “My passion lies in supporting others and creating a positive impact in their lives. Witnessing the lack of support for individuals with long-term health conditions and social isolation, I was motivated to join this industry. I’m dedicated to fostering positive relationships within our community and providing much-needed respite for family carers. Together, we are transforming lives and helping others embark on new chapters with care and compassion.”
At Broomy Hill Day Centre, we ensure a variety of purposeful, entertaining activities that reflects the interests of the people we support. We have dedicated activity coordinators to help plan and tailor the day to suit your individual needs and life-long hobbies. We also work in collaboration with NAPA, the National Activity Providers Association to help us prioritise well-being, and promote activity, arts, and engagement.
Food and drink are an important part of our lives and can be an enjoyable experience, we provide a delicious, well-balanced home-cooked meal every day prepared by one of our in-house chefs. If there isn’t something to suit your taste buds on the day, our chefs are always available to whip up alternatives for you on request. Throughout the day all cold and hot drinks are provided with delicious home baked cakes and sweet treats.
To ensure a smooth transition, we are offering taster sessions, where you can experience the warmth and camaraderie of our Day Centre.
Taster Sessions will be held every WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY, with morning and afternoon sessions available each day. The morning session will be held from 09.30 to 12.30, and the afternoon session from 13.30 to 16.30.
