Celebrating Volunteers Week at our care homes

A Heartfelt Tribute to Our Unsung Heroes

This Volunteers Week, (3rd June-9th June) we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on the extraordinary individuals who embody the spirit of selflessness and compassion across our seven care homes. We are immensely grateful for our volunteers, who offer their time, energy, and love to ensure our residents feel valued, cared for, and connected.

The Spirit of Volunteering

Volunteering is more than just an act of kindness; it’s a profound commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. In our care homes at Ashberry Healthcare, volunteers play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. They bring joy, companionship, and a sense of belonging, making each day a little brighter for everyone.

Celebrating Our Volunteers

At Meadowview Care Home, we are especially proud to celebrate Jane and Sheila from the local church in Warrington. For over 20 years, they have been offering companionship, church services, and a listening ear to our residents. Their unwavering dedication has brought immense joy and comfort to many lives. We are profoundly grateful for their involvement and the residents absolutely cherish their presence. Last Friday, we had the honour of presenting Jane and Sheila with certificates and flowers in recognition of their incredible service. Their 20 years of community volunteering at Meadowview Care Home have made a lasting impact, and we are deeply appreciative of their commitment and kindness.

At Blaenos House, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Denise, a resident family member who volunteers her time to provide engaging activities like mosaic making. The residents relish the new faces and exciting activities, and Denise’s contributions have significantly enriched their daily experiences. Thank you, Denise, for your generosity and creativity.

Thank you to all our volunteers. Your contributions are invaluable, and you truly make a difference in the lives of our residents every day.

How You Can Get Involved

If you’ve ever considered volunteering, there’s no better time to start than now. Volunteering at our care homes is a rewarding experience that not only enriches the lives of our residents but also offers immense personal fulfilment. Whether you have a few hours a week or a few days a month, your contribution can make a significant difference.

A Heartfelt Thank You

To all our current volunteers, we want to extend our deepest thanks. Your kindness, dedication, and compassion are the bedrock of our community. You make our care homes places of warmth and joy, and we are profoundly grateful for your unwavering support.

This Volunteers Week, let’s celebrate the incredible people who give so much of themselves to ensure our residents live with dignity, happiness, and love.
