Whichever unique Ashberry Care Home you choose, your loved one will have their own private room to personalise, so it truly feels like home. Our on-site chefs provide a hugely varied menu of home-cooked meals daily, using local produce where possible. And each of our locations offers wellbeing and social activities in and out of the home, in private gardens or surrounding areas.

To create that real home-from-home environment, we get to know our residents and the experiences that truly matter to them. That means we can always respect your loved one’s personal choices and provide constant opportunities for them to express their preferences, from favoured daily routines and waking times to food and drinks selections.

It also means we can support your loved one to take part in our homes’ physical and mental activities to suit individual needs, abilities and wishes. Every resident has the opportunity to make their own decisions about what they do, or don’t, want to be involved in. And we always respect their wishes without question or judgement.

Homes & Gardens

Situated across England and Wales, each home has its own personal history and a story to tell. The homes’ unique characters honour their traditions. However, they have all been updated to meet today’s living needs, with modern facilities and amenities for comfortable and accessible accommodation.

Our grounds offer so much for your loved one’s care, wellbeing and community spirit. Our care homes have varied outdoor spaces, from panoramic valley views to garden summerhouses, with one care home even boasting its own poly-tunnel for plant care.

Food & Nutrition

Every Ashberry care home offers a nutritionally-balanced menu, with your loved one’s tastes and preferences in mind. Our on-site chefs prepare and cook three homemade main meals freshly on-site, using local produce where possible. If your loved one is following a dysphagia diet, we puree, and carefully present, these identical nutritional and tasty meals. Soft drinks are available 24/7, and we always provide freshly-baked cakes for afternoon teas.

Of course, we offer a choice of meals according to dietary needs, and ask our residents for their thoughts on our menus. We encourage everyone to enjoy the social experience of eating together in the dining room, and invite relatives and friends, yet your loved one can eat their meals in their room if requested.

We are investing in better technology in our care home kitchens with the introduction of Rational Ovens to help our chefs prepare the highest quality food possible.

Bedrooms

Our different bedroom choices suit your loved one’s preferences, circumstances and budgets. We offer accessible ground floor bedrooms, private ensuite facilities, and a variety of stunning views, as well as smaller, cosier accommodation in quieter areas of our homes.

Whichever bedroom our residents choose, we want to make it feel truly personal. We welcome private belongings, individual furnishings, and invite your loved one to share their preferences for the way their room is decorated and styled.

Activities & Wellbeing

Physical and mental activities help your loved ones to stay healthy. We provide daily indoor and outdoor activities, weather permitting, to promote social interaction, stimulation and enjoyment.

This includes arts and crafts, dancing, gardening, and external entertainment, such a musicians and singers. And, where possible, we take our residents on outings to local attractions.

Respecting every resident’s wishes is crucial. We consult everyone to understand what they’d like to take part in, encouraging both existing interests and new hobbies. And we love to invite family members and friends to join in too!
