Here at Engelberg Care Home, we support each of our residents by providing them with one-on-one residential and respite care. We offer care that prioritises every individual need to ensure comfort and happiness, and create a warm and familiar environment that makes everyone feel at home.

Our team of carers provides 24-hour care and support, so no need goes unmet. We do what we can to encourage your loved one to keep their independence, and offer support so they can do more of what they love. We create a personalised care plan, which you can monitor thanks to the Care Control system, which gives you peace of mind that your loved one has everything they need when they need it. It also means we spend less time on admin tasks and more time delivering quality care.

We always encourage our residents to continue doing the things they love, whether it is reading, gardening, dancing, or anything else they may enjoy spending their time doing. We have two activity coordinators and always make sure we provide a calendar jam-packed with things to do, from old favourites to the new and exciting. Residents are welcome to take part in as many or as few of the activities as they like and are encouraged to suggest ideas for what they would like to do.

We also regularly organise trips away from the care home to local attractions, shopping centres, garden centres, and towns and villages.

We have 34 en-suite bedrooms that have modern furnishings and are modestly decorated, with plenty of opportunities for your loved one to add those personal and homely touches, including their own items of furniture.

Every room is equipped with a 24/7 call button, providing both you and your loved one with peace of mind. Rooms are located across two floors, with lift access to the first floor.

We prepare three delicious, freshly cooked and nutritiously balanced meals every day using local ingredients where possible. Our in-house team of chefs plan every menu to make sure every resident enjoys the food they love to eat, taking personal preferences and dietary requirements into account.

Between meals, snacks, drinks and homemade treats are available throughout the day.
