Care Assistant

Within walking distance of the pretty historic market town of Llandovery, and on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Blaenos House Nursing Home in Carmarthenshire is one of the only homes in West Wales caring for those living with dementia. Blaenos House cares for a maximum of 38 residents living with dementia and/or requiring nursing care on a short or long-term basis. Our home focuses on delivering exceptional standards of personalised care and ensuring residents and their families feel supported and respected.

We are looking for a kind and compassionate individual who wants to enhance the lives of others and offer quality care and support and to join our already-established care team.

As a Care Assistant at a Blaenos House Nursing Home, you'll play a key role in helping residents enjoy each day by ensuring they receive the high-quality care and support they deserve. You'll assist with daily activities, provide companionship, and create meaningful moments and memories. This is your chance to bring your compassion and dedication to a rewarding environment. Each day will offer new challenges, making the work as diverse as it is fulfilling.

Responsibilities will include:

• Personal care
• Assistance with meals and fluids
• Transferring residents as per care plan
• Accurate record keeping
• Offering comfort, stimulation and support, whilst maintaining residents’ privacy and dignity
