Moorhouse Care Home is a beautiful country house in the heart of Hindhead, Surrey and provides dementia, and residential care for up to 36 elderly men and women.

The Role

Our home is focused on delivering exceptional standards of personalised care and ensuring residents, and their families, feel supported and respected. What if you could choose a job where you make a meaningful difference to people's lives every day? We are looking for someone to join our friendly team as a Kitchen Assistant. In this role you will be an important member of the team, assisting with the preparation of the fresh homemade meals we serve to our residents.

Quality food has always been an important aspect of our care, and we focus on serving nutritionally balanced, classic and comforting meals to suit each resident’s individual tastes and preferences.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Preparing all food items, as directed
  • Washing up and cleaning of kitchen surfaces and equipment to our exceptional standards
  • Supporting the delivery and service of food, if required
  • Reporting any incidents or accidents to the Head Cook and if required, recording details of situation

Experience is not required as full training will be given.

Shift pattern: 8am to 18.00pm

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
