Community garden party raises more than £600 at Holmer Court

Spring Event at Holmer Court

Members of the community rallied around and helped to raise more than £600 for Holmer Court Care Home.

Springtime at Holmer Court Care Home brought a burst of joy as residents, families, and staff came together for a fabulous event on Saturday. The weather, in all its splendour, set the perfect backdrop for a day filled with delicious food and fun.

Music and laughter

Of course, no celebration is complete without music, and we were fortunate to have Mansel serenading us with his tunes, providing the perfect soundtrack to our afternoon. The atmosphere was alive with the sound of laughter and the rhythm of music, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.

The highlight of the event was the delicious feast, featuring Becky’s famous cheesecake and fruit salads that had everyone raving. Families even had the chance to bid on cheesecakes to take home.

In addition to the delightful food and entertainment, the day also featured a raffle, adding an element of anticipation and surprise. And to top it all off, the generosity of everyone involved was truly heartening, as we managed to raise over £600 through the event.

Award-winning pasties and sausage rolls

A massive thank you to Mike for his award-winning pasties and sausage rolls, which were a hit among attendees, and to Kathy for her heavenly cream scones and cakes, which added a touch of sweetness to the day.

But beyond the delicious food and lively entertainment, what truly made this event special was the community and togetherness. It was a day where residents, families, and staff came together as one big family, sharing laughter, stories, and love.

Thank you to everyone who joined in on our event at Holmer Court, look out for future events at our home!
