Celebrating the health and social care workers in Hereford
Last night, we had the privilege of attending the prestigious Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards 2024, and it was an evening to remember. With representatives from Broomy Hill, Holmer Court, and Ashberry Directors in attendance, including CEO Nigel Denny and CFO Gary Cottrell, we were thrilled to see our team recognised for their outstanding contributions to Health and Social Care.
We are especially proud this year, as Ashberry Healthcare had the honour of being the event's official sponsors. As a social care organisation, it was a privilege to help shine a light on the remarkable efforts of health and social care workers that so often go unnoticed and underappreciated. This sponsorship reflects our deep commitment to celebrating and supporting the individuals and teams who dedicate their lives to caring for others.
We are absolutely delighted to announce that Holmer Court once again emerged victorious, taking home two prestigious awards! This marks the third consecutive year that Holmer Court has been celebrated at this event, and the team continues to set the bar higher with each passing year.
A Legacy of Excellence
Holmer Court's journey at the Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards began in 2022 when they were crowned Care Home of the Year.
The following year, in 2023, they took home two more awards: the Dementia Carer Award, which was awarded to Becky, our Wellbeing Coordinator, and the Care Home Worker Award, won by Richard, our Maintenance Officer.
These awards have firmly established Holmer Court as a beacon of exceptional care and dedication within the community.
And now, in 2024, Holmer Court has once again achieved remarkable success with two more awards! CEO of Ashberry Healthcare, Nigel Denny shared his thoughts:
"These accolades are not achieved by chance. Over the last 8 years Holmer Court and its staff have been the nominees or recipients of a number of prestigious awards recognising the commitment, compassion and dedication of its outstanding team to deliver consistent high-quality care. Much of the credit is due to the Home Manager Claire Boulter who leads her team expertly, instilling an environment of trust and calm. " - Nigel Denny, CEO

Health Care Team Award – Holmer Court Team
The Health Care Team Award was another well-deserved win for the entire Holmer Court team. This award celebrates teams that collaborate seamlessly to improve patient care, and our team’s remarkable ability to work together and communicate effectively across organisational boundaries has been key to their success.
The dedication and professionalism of the Holmer Court team make a tangible difference in the lives of those they care for, and this award is a testament to the exceptional work they do every day. Their continued efforts to innovate and enhance patient care are truly inspiring, and we are incredibly proud to see their hard work recognised on such a prestigious platform.
