Care
Holmer Court Care Home is here to offer specialist residential care, dementia care and respite care in a safe and empathetic environment. We thoroughly assess residents’ needs in advance to understand what makes them unique to make sure we provide the best possible personalised, one-on-one care. We utilise a Care Control system, which allows you to keep track of the care your loved one receives and ensures swift, thorough care can be given at all times.

Rooms
Having once been a rural farmhouse, Holmer Court Care Home offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, but now features modern facilities, communal spaces and open large gardens for residents to enjoy and spend time with family and friends.
Each of our bedrooms is comfortably furnished with modern touches to ensure comfort and familiarity, although Holmer Court Care Home keeps the character from its time as a farmhouse. Each room in the main building boasts high ceilings and large windows for a bright and spacious feel, with the majority of the first-floor bedrooms overlooking the garden. We also have ground floor rooms that open onto either the patio or the garden, where residents have a table and chairs for morning or afternoon tea.
No matter your budget or the needs of your loved one, they’ll find a comfortable, well-decorated room with modern facilities. We also invite our residents to bring their personal belongings and furnishings with them to make their rooms truly feel like home.
Dining
Your loved one will enjoy freshly-prepared and nutritionally-balanced meals cooked on-site, with a menu designed to suit individual tastes, preferences and dietary requirements. Where possible, we use produce from local companies, for our fruit, vegetables and dairy products.
We encourage our residents to eat in our dining room overlooking the garden, however, they can eat in the privacy of their room if they would prefer. Residents are also invited to enjoy afternoon tea in our conservatory. In the garden, we have our summer ‘Teapot’ house, with vintage furniture and crockery, which can also be used for private family get-togethers. Family and friends are always welcome to join our meals, but we please ask that you give us notice.
Activities
Here at Holmer Court Care Home, we take time to understand individual personal skills and interests so our activities coordinator can organise entertainment around your loved one’s preferences. Regular activities include crafts, baking, gardening, a poetry group and singing. We also invite outside entertainers to attend the home and we hold events throughout the year, such as summer fetes, cheese and wine evenings and race night.
We are also pleased to have had Councillor Jim Kenyon for officially opening an on-site ‘pub’ called the ‘Tipsy Newt’ for our residents to enjoy afternoons filled with laughter, camaraderie and heartwarming memories.
We also have a fully-equipped hairdressing salon for in-home pampering.

Home Manager Claire has dedicated her career to providing care for those in need for over 20 years. The quality of care Claire provides is reflected by the three consecutive nominations for National Hereford Woman of the Year. Claire sees the residents as extensions of her own family and insists that the care she and her team provides reflects that. Claire is proud to lead the team at Holmer Court and uses her skills and experience to ensure personal, empathetic care is offered to our residents for the duration of their stay.

Originally a 17th-century farmhouse, Holmer Court Care Home is a spacious, detached home where you’ll discover we’ve kept the character of the farm building but updated and modernised it to meet the needs of our 33 residential and memory care residents today.
